The First Liberian Female to join the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ltd

You may or may not be familiar with her tale, but I thought it would be wise to share it with you, my wonderful audience, as well. Meet Monica Nancy Candny, a young Liberian who graduated from Regional Maritime University in Accra, Ghana, nearly five months ago with “first-class honors in BSC Marine Engineering”.

Before achieving this degree, she attended St. Michael Catholic High School (The Dove Kingdom) , where she begin her road to achieving success.

She attended the Liberia Maritime Training Institute after high school and graduated in 2019 with an Associate’s degree in Marine and Electrical Engineering, her first professional degree.Monica is currently living in Miami, Florida and is working as a Cadet at Royal Caribbean International, which is reportedly the world second and largest cruise ship.

According to reports, she is currently Liberia’s only and first Female Marine Engineer.

She posted on June 11, “Congratulations 🎈🎉 to me! Finally, I am leaving Regional Maritime University with flying Colors.The battle was not easy at all, but with God all things are possible. I am grateful for his grace, blessings, Favor, wisdom and Knowledge. Today I have graduated with first-class honor in BSc Marine Engineering, I am grateful to God. If were not for God where could I have been?
