The President of the Republic of Liberia, George Manneh Weah, has reportedly ordered the Minister of Foreign Affairs, “Dee-Maxwell Kemayah, [to right away] investigate the reasons why [the CEO of Sheikh Bassirou Entertainment, Inc and Royal Gold Car Rental Service Inc.], Sheikh Bassirou Kante, who was reportedly arrested in the [United States on the 20th of April, for money laundering and wire fraud amounting $7 million].”

According to a press release , released yesterday by the Executive Manson-Liberia, “the President ordered that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs immediately stop the issuance of diplomatic passports to anyone unless otherwise authorized by him.”

The Mansion added that, “The Liberian Chief Executive also directed Minister Kemeyah to submit a full report detailing a review of how Liberian diplomatic passports are issued.
“The report by the Foreign Minister is to be submitted within one week of the date of the President’s directive, May 10, 2022.”

Since the released of this information, many citizens have said that the President has taken a great step forward to ensure that this “Kante’s Passport saga” go away.

According to an article written by a writer at FrontpageAfrica on May 10th 2022 by Lennart Dodoo, Kante could not secure a bail bond for his release from prison pending trial due to his strong ties with [our own seh] Vice President Jewel Howard and his possession of a Liberian diplomatic passports, [and other serious reason that are yet to be reveal to the general public]
