Nyamalon decided to use spoken-word as a way to express his disappointment involving the More Than Me multiple sexual abuse and cover-up. According to MORE than RAPE MORE organization, Nyamalon has done several similar pieces that raise awareness on issues that are affecting our community and the outside world.

Following the October 23, 2018, protest that showed rape victims defending the same woman, Katie Meyler who along with her board purposely cover-up multiple rape abuse to protect their organization’s image. The news was first reported by www.propublica.com and www.time.com.

Nyamalon posted on his Facebook page:

“It was sad yesterday watching a video of young school kids in a protest in what appeared like a counter protest about the menace that occurred at ‘More than Me’
Using children for this is beyond human, it’s witchcraft. Like a friend said, ‘Sometimes we have to rescue the people from themselves ‘.
As a poet of conscience, I’m adding my voice through this short piece
‘It wasn’t about me ‘. Watch and share.”

Thanks to Lekpele M. Nyamalon for such a wonderful piece.
