The ongoing Bicentennial was created to help boost the tourism sector in Liberia. Which in my own understanding means, they are encouraging Liberians and foreign nationals to visit the country and hopefully, they can see something to invest in.

But in order for people to be encouraged to return home, there are certain things that needs to be put in place that are being ignored and one of those things is the LIBERIAN embassy, in the United States. In fact, all of the LIBERIAN embassies that are in foreign countries.

Many Liberians including myself who live here have repeatedly complained about the agency being always closed, how rudely some of the workers talk to customers and how they transfer your call to a voicemail without receiving a call back.

In order for you to travel home, you need proper documentation but how will we be able to travel if we cannot have a competent embassy that will cater to Liberians and foreign guests needs?

Is The Ministry of information Cultural Affairs and Tourism responsible for these embassies? If so, they must work on solving these problems because it is an embarrassment for our country’s embassies to be this incompetent and yet nothing, absolutely nothing is being done to fix these issues.

How can a whole embassy ( DC) ratings be only 2.8% on Google? Which means they are not customers’ friendly!

Google review screensh

Are we gonna forever settled for mediocrity? Is this the new LIBERIA we are building? Are we qualified to stand among other African countries and beat our chest with pride when we mention Mama Liberia? This has to stop!

Who should we complain to? Because it’s like we can complain and it goes unnoticed.
