It is said that we must give a person their flower while they are still alive.
On October 31, Popular Liberian-Traditional musician, Mz Menneh, who is based in the United States of America, took to her Facebook page where she shared a video and pictures with her fans and announced that she was awarded at the Baaadu Festival, which was held in Los Angels, also known as “the city of angels” by Americans. The event which began on October 28-30, saw and was celebrated by “Bridging African Americans and the African Diaspora in Unity.”
According to the singer, she was recognized for her skill as an exceptional entertainer.

As explained on the Fusicology site, “The Baaadu Festival celebrates historical roots and rich diversity by showcasing a wide range of cultural experiences from music, performing arts, health, education, entertainment, politics, environment, community engagement, economic empowerment, networking commerce opportunities, and nutrition, as well as by offering a bustling marketplace full of goods and commodities from all over the world.”

“BAAADU Event is a mobile festival that spreads the message of harmony throughout the world.”
In addition to distinguishing Mz Menneh from other Liberian artists, this accolade established her as the first traditional singer and artist from Liberia to get recognition from the Beverly Hills City Council. She added that the city Mayor also signed the certificate of honor.
How does the traditional musical diva feel about this? Well, she feels blessed and appreciated…” the entire team of BAADU worked tirelessly to bring this to fruition. A very huge thank you to my entire team for being the rock behind my every project; And my fans all over the world, couldn’t have done this without you. Special thanks to Dr. Kema Diggs for being an amazing liaison for Liberia. Ultimately I thank God for the gift of life and his favor upon me. Many more to come!!!”
Congratulations, Queen! Please keep souring high for the sky. We are proud and Mama Liberia is even prouder.
