A Nigerian national, by the name Fred Ola has written a magazine to denigrate Liberian celebrities and to tarnish the entire Liberian entertainment industry to the World. Making our research, Liberian Stars Views discovered many big names in the magazine that’ has been victimized by the Nigerian national. Big names that have made headways and continue to make headways in the Liberian entertainment industry, the likes of Master queen, Wokie Dolo, Karishma Dequeen and many others were his victims. A magazine which he named ‘’Liberia Spotlight’’ and a part that we ‘’LSV’’ deem as ‘’Gossip column’’, was poorly written and the only sense one could get is demeaning, denigrating and insults to our celebrities.

Well he claimed it is an advice to the celebrities to desist from their bad ways, but as we know magazines are for the promotion of a particular society, lifestyle, community or Country. This wasn’t the case with Fred Ola’s Magazine, but sounds like a political commentary. The magazine is also carrying Liberia’s pride ‘’Wokie Dolo’’ the Miss Liberia beauty on the frontpage and at the back page it carries the face of Siatta Sheriff.

One of the victims, an actress and social media influencer Karishma Dequeen after getting a copy of the magazines, read a portion of herself and was devastated of the diminishing piece he wrote. The actress filed in a lawsuit against Mr. Ola for denigrating her character and using her image in a magazine without her consent.

Mr. Ola is also the organizer of the event ‘’Liberian Youth Awards’’. I think it’s about time we have some restrictions on who organizes event and the kind of article people write about our Arts and Cultures and our celebrities. Any article that comes out for any of our celebrities represents our country and our industries. Having the Pride ‘’Wokie Dolo’’ of our country on the cover of a magazine of sort is not only an insult but denigratory to our country.

Below is the lawsuit of the actress Karishma Dequeen and part of the magazine.
