MC CARO has released a statement regarding threats she has received and continued to receive since the released of her song titled ”Bring our money back!”
Just like Kpanto, the Hipco rapper has now publicly admitted to being followed by a group of unknown men threatening to silence her because of her controversial song.
A few days ago, MC CARO released a song following the controversial missing Liberian banknotes.
Read what she posted earlier today on Facebook:
”Last night, I was heading home from Brewersville, when I noticed two unknown men on a bike. I could tell that they were following me. When I reached to St Paul’s bridge, I began to hear my song (bring our money back) playing on the radio, fans begin to sing and dancing. When the two men saw me, they acted like they were doing something else, so they hide and went to wait for me at Caldwell bridge. Luckily, I was able to get a car and that’s how I was able to successfully escaped. I was really afraid.
Since the release of ”bring our money back ”, I’ve received many strange calls from random people threatening to silence me. No more freedom of speech?
They can even kill you and go once no eyewitness. What have we gotten ourselves into in this country?
The fact remains we are musicians and we should have the freedom to express ourselves the way we want and need to.
The below image is Skinnyboi and his producer, Augustine Ford alias #Afordoe who has been arrested for sing campaign a similar song.
According to both artist, the song is a campaign song. And this is how they choose to express themselves.
