Media personality Royda “Philimena” Urey was on Thursday appointed by the Liberian government as the brand Ambassador for The Liberia Diaspora Affairs Unit.
Miss Urey who returned from the United States of America after living there as a refugee for 26 years and as well studying at the Western Michigan University was led to returned for the sole purpose of “Love for country”.
Since her return, she has managed to attract tourists and Liberians living in the diaspora to the motherland through Vlogging on a platform she created call philimena.com
She showcases the opportunity, growth and natural beauty of the country, highlighting the potential of tourism, entrepreneurship, social issues, conservation and lifestyle in Liberia. Her platforms has attracted over 17,000 followers and 90,000 views on YouTube.
Miss. Urey is one of the brains behind “The World Tourism Day” held annually in Liberia having Liberian vendors showcasing their products to potential buyers. She was also appointed as the official partner for “Media” to the “Miss Liberia Pageant.
On Thursday May 12th 2022, the Media personality Royda “Philimena” Urey posted on her social media accounts, announcing her appointment by the Government of Liberia.
