YBO, which stands for Ya Boy O. He shares his message with the world in his brand new video “Tell Me”. Most people know O as an all-star high school basketball player and collegiate athlete, But with the dropping of this musical exploit, O debuts his lyrical talent.
O was born in the capital city of Albany, NY to parents who came to America fleeing a civil war in Liberia, West Africa in the late 1980’s. While his parents were trying to find a way in a new country, O’s childhood included constant relocation. Outside of his birthplace in NY, O has lived in numerous cities including, Winston Salem, NC Providence, RI Bedford, New Hampshire and Boston, Massachusetts and now Los Angeles.
O grew up on Michael Jackson and Bob Marley. It’s all he heard growing up as his father was a huge fan of the two since he was a kid in Africa. In hip hop 2pacs message and what he stood for, really grew on O as well as the wordplay of Jay-Z and Biggiel.
Recently, YBO left his life behind on the east coast to pursue his musical dreams in Los Angeles, California. Stay tuned for his debut project which is coming later in 2017.
