With no idea of what lies ahead, living traditional Liberian musical legend, Friday spent a month and performed three shows while on tour in Edmonton, Canada. Just before he left the country, he was formally recognized as the Traditional Grebo cultural ambassador for Canada by Liberians based there, making him the first Liberian musician to officially receive such a prestigious honor.

On the 3rd of October, the musician took to his page and wrote that during the ceremony, “[he] was told by the Leaders of the Grebo Association of Canada that they have never welcomed any musician to the country and given an award to any musician. I am ever so grateful and humble[d] to be the first musician and new Cultural Ambassador for the Grebo Association of Canada.”Congratulations, superstar.
