Brown Sugar officially premiered on September 1st in Accra at the Accra Hulls malls, where stars gathered to support. The premiere was a success and was overcrowded. The movie produced by Liberian young actress Chichi Neblett and written and directed by Liberian film maker Jay U Boye has been trending and making air waves. It’s good to see young Liberians making quality content not just for Liberian entertainment industry but for African entertainment.
The film is about 8 friends from different African countries who met at a resort for a Liberian wedding and despite the quality of the production and international casts it projected Liberians very well. The writer of the story for the screen Jay U Boye did not mince his writing in projecting and promoting Liberians in the story.
The film is to be premiered in over 10 states in Nigeria next and it is gaining recognition in Africa fast. It’s also projecting to be in big awards in Africa. We are proud of these two Liberians Chichi Neblett and Jay U Boye for putting Liberians content on another level.
