American singer #beyonce took to social media to express her frustration on the senseless police brutality in Nigeria, and
as well the violence against peaceful protestors in the country.

#endsar peaceful protest is a protest to
End Special Anti-Robbery Squad (End SARS) or #EndSARS
Since it’s establishment, the unit (SARS) has been controversial with a record of abuse. The unit, instead of protecting lives and properties, it has been engaged in  theft, torture, unlawful detention, extortion, unlawful arrest, rape, humiliation of youths and murder.

*SARS* unit has been in the constant habits of profiling youths on their fashion choices, they will mount illegal check points to search, arrest, rape women and extort young people for driving flashy cars and using expensive iPhones.

The protest is being dominated by thousands of Nigerian youths and it has lasted for over two weeks now since it’s started. Celebrities have joined the protest as well.

One of the protest grounds had Nigerian comedian AY speaking with the young protestors. Few hours after his interaction with them the Nigerian police force switched off the lights and started random shooting, that led to several dead and some wounded.
