Perry Zulu Jr , a young Liberian-American actor who has been featured in some of Hollywood’s biggest movies like The Suicide Squad, the tomorrow War (go watch it!) , Coming 2 America (2020) , etc; just unveiled that he also played a little role in the newly released movie titled, Respect , which is based on the American musical legend, Aretha Franklin who is regarded as “Queen of Soul” music.

Read below:

“Ok so I forgot to post about the movie- #RESPECT (Ms. RESPECT: The Aretha Franklin Movie biopic #rip 🙏🏾). Go check it out in theaters. I was blessed to be a part of history by portraying a young Count Basie(cameo role). If you don’t know who that is- google him, I had to do the same so don’t feel bad lol. But on the real this was humbling and inspiring to be a part of. All the legends in this movie paved the way for black talent in America. And I am grateful to be a part of this classic masterpiece. Congrats to the cast. And special thanks to Andrea Craven for casting me.”

To be honest, Zulu already has more than 15 movies to his name. He is also a singer, songwriter and a screenwriter; double the talent! This is worth celebrating. Glad to know that Saycon Sengbloh is not the only one in the movie. Congratulations to Zulu on his hard-work and we pray that he continue to make his family and country proud!
