DiamondOnline reported last night that 30 people reportedly die and thousands were badly wounded at Apostle Abraham Kromah’s “2 Days move of GOD; under the theme, “TOTAL FREEDOM”, an Open-Air crusade, which was held in “New Kru Town district 16 at the D.Tweh Sports.”

According to the blog this morning, they received a report about an unknown woman who allegedly had a vision about seeing people die at the event an hour before the incident happened.

It is reported that a group of criminals, some says , zogos, with deadly weapons made their way to the spiritual gathering and started threatening people for their belongings, which sparked fear among the attendees that resulted in running, stepping on others while trying to save themselves from being attack.

Today, Kalasco Damaro, the President’s aide, reported earlier this morning that the Liberian leader, President George Mannah
Weah has declared a three days of National state of Mourning for all the victims.

He added that, “The President has ordered the national ensign be flown at half-mast at all public buildings throughout the Republic while the nation mourns.”

I have one question, if the apostle was warned about a vision of one of his attendee, how come he did not believe her and shut down the event and at least ask people to go home? Why did he undermine the lady’s warning?

This is the same thing that happened at American musician Travis Scott’s Astroworld music festival in Houston, Texas at NRG Park of Friday, November 5, 2021, that resulted in the death of 10 people and hundreds injured. There are videos evidence of people yelling at him, “shut down the event”, but he kept on performing and he undermined the people who were telling him to stop his performance.

I understand he’s a man of God, but I hope he is held fully or half accountable for what happened last night.

It’s a tragedy and it was unexpected, however, if you’re gonna bring so many people for an event like this, next time be alert and make sure this never happens EVER again. May their souls Rest In Peace.

What are your thoughts?

There’s a video of President Weah visiting victims at the hospital.
