Liberian Afro Pop artist Raquel Hage trends after getting an official honor from the government of Liberia to perform at the Bicentennial celebration of Liberia’s 200 years of existence.



the Afro pop artist was in awe after receiving the official letter from the President of The Republic of Liberia Dr. George M. Weah through the Ministry of information cultural affairs and Tourism, to sing the national anthem Infront of sixty five thousand attendees on a jam park stadium in Paynesville city, as well as hundred some more thousands online watching.



during a live interview with Liberia News Agency’s director Kwame Weeks, the artist narrated the feelings when she first got the letter while she was in studio in Nigeria working on an upcoming project. she saids it was an unexpected request and an honor she was never dreaming of and that she could not fail to honor the service to her country Liberia. According to Raquel, she had less time to prepare herself for her services to honor her country.



“I had four day to prepare and I wasn’t just singing the national anthem but the government of Liberia also gave me their own lyrics that I had to sing before the national anthem. I also had to fly from Nigeria to Liberia to meet up with the time of the event”



Infront of Presidents of different countries, dignitaries, special envoy from the United States of America, guests and citizens that filled an over capacitated stadium, Raquel Hage took the stage to make history of becoming the first artist to perform the national anthem for the country’s biggest event to celebrate freedom since 1822. Thousands rise to their feet as they listen to the angelic voice that echoes the Samuel Kanyan Doe sports Complex and as she came to a climax of the national anthem, there were huge applause that took over the stadium appreciating the artist.



On LINA Panorama an interview with Raquel, the artist kept getting applause and appreciations days after the event from fans in and out of the country. There were many calls on the live show as fans express their Love for her.



A day before her performance the artist surprised fans with an awesome video that she features Nigeria Afro artist Magnito call “DANCE” that is now trending.



Raquel is expected to fly back to Nigeria soon to complete her project.
