Liberian Traditional, International-Neo Singer, Mz Menneh who has a verified Facebook account with 1.3M followers, is here to set the records straight.
The singer is rarely in the news for anything unless she releases a new song/video, pictures or she’s traveling to another country for a performance, then blogs would post about it or herself would post about it.
Yesterday, she took to her personal Facebook account, where she released some screenshots of some of her past posts that reached more than one thousand comments and thousands of likes in response to a claimed, according to her, she buys followers and that she isn’t apart of the most followed “Liberian celebrities…”
We don’t know exactly what sparked the anger within her but it seemed to have made the singer disappointed that she felt she had to pull out some legit receipts to clear the air.
Mz Menneh lamented that she works hard and that she knows she doesn’t need to prove herself to no one.
Read her exact post below:
“I guess no matter what I do, it will never be good enough for some of you Liberians. For those of you who talking about Mz Menneh is not even considered when it comes to the most follow Liberian celebrities because she buy followers and her followers don’t interact on her page, I guess I also pay for these comments as well on these posts right?I work very hard everyday on my craft you all know that. but you chose to act like you don’t see smh. And I know I don’t need to come here to prove anything to any of you ……………………people
you guys make me so tired I swear! Listen guys it’s ok for good things to happen for your fellow Liberia.”
The post of course received some reactions from industry colleagues and fans giving her some encouraging words letting her know she doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone.
Whoever made Mz Menneh angry, for now has no name, therefore, no case!
Liberian entertainers love it exactly this way. There has been many occasions where they would addressed issues that bothers them without calling names.
What are your thoughts ?
