Actress/producer, Korto Davies who was feature in some of Gallywood, Nollywood movies, has earned a major nomination. The leading Lollywood screen beauty has just set a new record by opening doors for Liberian-actors and the movie industry in Liberia. She made the category of “Best Lead Role in Film” for the Nigerian Entertainment Awards. This is the first time for a Liberian to have made it so far in the history of African films. The actress is in the category with some of Africa’s best screen-actors like Ama K Abebrese, Chris Attoh, Jackie Appiah, Majid Michel and Yvonne Okoro. The NEA is one of the highest and biggest awards ceremony hosted yearly in the U.S.
The Nigeria Entertainment Awards is an established Awards hosted yearly in New York City. The ceremony was founded in January 2006 to serve the growing African population in North America. It recognizing the contributions of African entertainers to the entertainment industry. Wikipedia facts

As you can see the category is tough, however, she has the chance to bring home the title because Korto is equally good as the rest of the nominees on the list.
