If you’re one of Liberia’s music industry biggest supporter then you are aware of the constant struggle to get our people to pay attention to our musicians. Since the passing of Quincy B, due to the national attention it gained, a lot of our people including foreigners have started paying keen attention to the slowly growing industry, the music to be exact.
Surprising some of our Facebook friends that used to talk down on our music are sharing more and more artists’ work.
We’d like to introduce you to three apps that cater to playing Liberian music. You can download these apps on your phone for free and listen to Liberian music whenever, however, you want! Not just music, we’re talking about music that will have you dancing, singing, shaking your head, and also music that will have you wondering why it took you this long to show support.
1. Wlojii is a global, experiential, Liberian Music platform built for fans, directly from Liberian artists around the world. Wlojii members enjoy exclusively curated content that directly connects artists with their fans in multiple ways. The Platform offers high-fidelity, CD sound quality music, an opportunity to discover new artists and new Liberian music. Log in, listen to available playlists or create your own. Be a part of The Wlojii Community.
2. Be100 Radio is an internet-based radio station founded by Debra Antney. She aims to provide a voice and platform for independent artists to become successful. Although its goal is for all music, I log in there to enjoy only Liberia music. The app is available for android and iPhone users.
3. LEA Radio is an app created by Liberian Entertainment Awards as a way of giving back to the music industry. The app is available for iPhone and android users.
