Hi, my name is Dormowa Kabbah (AKA DK). My reason for contacting you guys is to share my story and help prove that we Liberians are also making a positive impact around the world.
I graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science and a concentration in Health Promotion on May 2016 (Summa Cum Laude: Highest Honor). I also graduated as a proud member of Phi Eplison Kappa.
As a student at WCU, I was given the opportunity to study abroad in France, Italy, and Germany which I passed with flying colors. I’ve been working as a Health Prevention Specialist and recently got a job offer as a Patient Advocate.
I decided to share my story because I started my educational journey as a child who came to this country and had to experience bullying and other factors that may have been a barrier in my educational journey. I want to inform my fellow African (Specifically Liberian women) that anything is possible through faith, hard work and determination. I’ve made it my duty to always encourage our young people in any way that I can. I hope my story will inspire someone out there that if I can do it, they can do it.
