CDC Standard Bearer George Weah & Liberia’s Musical Giant DenG reportedly held a closed-door meeting, stoking already burning speculation about the possibility of DenG endorsing Weah before the official presidential campaign begins in Liberia.
The MTV-Africa Award nominee, who is rumored to be in discussion with the Boakai camp met with Senator Weah on Tuesday evening at his CDC headquarters for about an hour.
According to an eyewitness, DenG arrived on the grounds of CDC driving his BMW; fans there said he was immediately swarmed by CDC enthusiasts giving him ‘thumbs up’ en masse.
“The candidate’s plenty and they good bad-way…but no one like my Oppong,” the crowd sang in droves — flipping one of DenG hit songs — as they greeted him the minute he disembarked from his vehicle.
A person who claimed to have direct knowledge of the meeting told LSV on condition of anonymity that Weah & DenG talked about working together over the course of the campaign to advance a cultural & youth agenda; one that will improve the lives of young people.
On Tuesday evening without any hint, DenG posted a picture of him and Senator Weah shaking hands on Facebook which got hundreds of positive reviews.
